Project
Millerton House nearing completion

The first project to integrate WFORC and WFORA services, a large private residence in Millerton, New York is nearing completion. After 3 years of design and 2½ years of construction, the owners moved in this past June. Currently our team is working on the exterior features surrounding the house such as the terraces and roadways.

As part of our overall strategy to employ sustainable systems, the old house located adjacent to the new residence is being ‘deconstructed’ by Eco Building Bargains, an outfit from Massachusetts specializing in recycling demolition. Piece by piece, the elements are being collected for reuse in other projects.

To date, the new house’s mechanical infrastructure, designed by The Plus Group, is operating with impressive efficiency. Data shows passive energy sources are supplying nearly 25–30% of the structures needs.
