Construction work began last week by WFORC on the WFORA renovation design of the Lafayette Street Townhouse in the historic Soho-Cast Iron district. The three-story structure with a new rooftop feature will be our third design-build project. The completion of this renovation of a former firehouse designed by Napolean LeBrun in 1901 is expected in early 2012.
As part of our efforts to restore the inherent qualities of the structure, new wood windows will be installed at the front façade to complement the ornate brickwork. The owner hopes to breathe new life into the townhouse while supporting his contemporary lifestyle.
